We will negotiate settlements when they achieve the best overall result for you, or litigate if necessary, putting forth your best case. We are both compassionate and aggressive, and will change course as necessary to achieve the best outcome. Our goal is to meet your needs and resolve your case efficiently without jeopardizing your rights or your interests.

We are committed to public service because we believe lawyers are in a unique position to contribute to the community. We provide pro bono services handling cases from Legal Advocates for Children and Youth (LACY) and we serve as court appointed counsel for children.

We dedicate time to our profession, as shown by the many years of volunteer services to the Santa Clara County Bar Association (SCCBA) and the State Bar of California. We also assist the court, serving as pro tem judges and settlement officer judges.

Kathryn Schlepphorst has been honored by the SCCBA with the Henry Collada award in 2010 and 2014 for her work in the Santa Clara County Family Law court and Salsman award in 2008 for her long and dedicated service to the SCCBA. Kathryn has served a three year term on the California State Bar Family Law Executive Committee and served another four years as an advisor.
